How it works

This innovative sleep aid features two magnets, designed to increase airflow by dilating the nasal passage. Thereby creating additional positive airflow and preventing the soft tissues in the back of the throat from partially obstructing the airway. The vibrations caused by the partial blocking of the airway result in the dreaded snoring sound that keeps us up at night.

Made from medical grade silicone, RestEasy™ will not attract dust and is dishwasher safe. It’s safe, hypo-allergenic, BPA free and feels great.

What causes snoring?

During progression from a light sleep to a deep sleep, the muscles in the roof of the mouth (soft palate), tongue and throat relax. The tissues in the throat can relax enough that they partially block the airway and vibrate.

The more narrowed the airway, the more forceful the airflow becomes. This increases tissue vibration, which causes the snoring to grow louder.

The facts

💔 Snoring is the third leading cause of divorce in the US.

🤗 70% of people claim that a stop snoring device helped their bed mates.

👂 The volume of an average snore is 38 decibels. The loudest snore on record is over 110 decibels, louder than a live rock concert.

🤰 Women are more likely to snore during pregnancy.

🧮 Almost half of the population snore at some point in their lives. About 90 million Americans snore at least occasionally.

📊 25% of people snore on a regular basis. 37 million American adults regularly snore.

🧬 70% of snorers claim that this problem runs in their families.

🩺 Habitual snorers have a 5 times higher risk of heart disease than those who snore only occasionally.

Sleep divorce

Snoring doesn’t just interfere with the snorer’s sleep. When it comes to couples, one person’s snoring often means sleep trouble for both.

And it isn’t only sleep that can suffer. Snoring can put serious strain on relationships. A snoring problem often creates not only tiredness but also frustration and resentment between couples. It can interfere with sexual and emotional intimacy and can push couples to sleep in separate bedrooms.

Though snoring or body temperatures may disrupt a couple’s sleep process, research* has shown that the closer a married couple sleeps together, the happier they are in their relationship. A 2014 survey asked people to describe their go-to sleeping position and to rank the quality of their relationship. Results showed 86% of those who slept less than an inch apart from their partner were happier in their relationship than those who slept more than 30 inches apart. †

Sleep deprivation

Research suggests that snoring is one of the factors of sleep deprivation.

Snoring is known to cause sleep deprivation to snorers and those around them, as well as daytime drowsiness, irritability, lack of focus and decreased libido. Snoring has also been suggested to cause significant psychological and social damage to sufferers. Multiple studies reveal a positive correlation between loud snoring and risk of heart attack (about +34% chance) and stroke (about +67% chance).

Contributing factors

💡 Other than genetic or environmental factors, our habits and diet can contribute to likelihood of snoring.

Such as, smoking 🚬 eating burgers 🍔 fries 🍟 chocolate 🍫 red meats 🥩 peanuts 🥜 poultry 🍗 eggs 🍳 seafood 🦐 drinking alcohol 🍺 coffee ☕ milk 🥛 and carbonated beverages 🥤

Use & care

We recommend soaking your RestEasy™ Stop Snoring Sleep Aid for about 5 minutes in warm water then dry off before going to bed. Before putting it in, clean and dry your nose.

When placing the RestEasy™ Stop Snoring Sleep Aid, separate the magnets and ensure it is placed all the way inside the nostrils. The magnets will attract to each other and form a snug fit. The first few times of wearing may take a little adjusting, but once you're used to the device it is comfortable and easy to wear.

We recommend cleaning your RestEasy™ Stop Snoring Sleep Aid each morning after use in warm soapy water. As an added bonus, it's also dishwasher safe.
